Marlen Textiles Products Now Berry Amendment Compliant
Marlen Textiles products compliant with Berry Amendment
Following an internal review, New Haven, Mo.-based Marlen Textiles, Inc. has determined that its entire product line is now in compliance with the Berry Amendment, which requires that certain purchases by the U.S. Defense Department comprise American-made end products made with American-made parts. It specifically covers textiles, food, and hand and measuring tools.
“We have worked hard with our supply chain to find domestic alternatives to the components we use,” said Rodney Washburn, president of Marlen Textiles. “This allows us to proudly display ‘Made in USA’ across our entire product portfolio.”
Marlen Textiles manufactures several proprietary coated, solution-dyed and laminated fabric products for use in the marine, awning, tent, outdoor, glove, safety, industrial, medical and military markets. The products are treated to be resistant to water, mildew, rot, abrasion, and fire. The company also offers custom coating, toll coating and custom laminating.
